An easier day.

Today we spent most of the day on the park.
Interestingly Gracie wanted to take her teddy Bearemy with her. Nice to be comfortable being a child.





The have fitted exercise machines in the park which is a good idea to keep people fit.













All great time was had by all.

London part 2

After the London Eye it was River Cruise time.

Everybody was waiting with great anticipation.





The first sight was Elizabeth Tower.





And the London Eye.



Then it was the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.









The Shard.





The Golden Hind



And Shakespeare's Globe.



A great but exhausting time for us all.

London

Today we went to London. Our first train was cancelled which caused some worry but luckily we got seats on the next one which was carrying three trains worth of passengers.

Not everybody was impressed.





Next we visited the most famous platform in London. It is behind Kenneth.



Then it was the highlight of the trip. The London Eye.

Easter Holidays

They have arrived again and whilst there probably won't be any boating, we are all together again.

We went to explore Preston docks whilst awaiting a long connection.





Then we walked and found the end of the Lancaster canal.



It is a very ignominious end to such a beautiful canal.



Finally it was a Pendolino home.



Gracie even did an impersonation of me.

Steam Train

Yesterday we got to enjoy our Christmas present to each other.



We were in premier Dining for a trip to Hereford via Newport.



It was great and very luxurious.





It was a great day with super weather.

First day of the season

A damp cold day but I drove the first tram of the season up the line.



It was a nice quiet day with a few passengers. Roll on summer.

Last tram

Yesterday was my last tram driving of the season.

It was a special event called Starlight Halloween.

There were lots of trams out.



And many other child friendly activities.



My first drive was to do a lunchtime relief for the crew of Blackpool 40.



After this it was time to get out my tram which was Leeds 345.



It is the only opportunity to drive in the dark at the museum.







Thoroughly enjoyable but an unbelievable 3 different road closures on the way home and some mistakes on the diversions meant we didn't get home until after 11 o'clock.
