Serious shopping trip to London.

We are off to meet bridesmaid Amy in London and do some serious colour coordination work. We are going to rely heavily on Amy's expertise as sartorial elegance is not my forte. 

The sense of anticipation is great. 

We have already been asked for snacks and drinks and trips to the buffet car. 

We are on a chiltern mainline train. Exceptionally good value. With our free family railcard courtesy of moneysavongexpert the adults have paid £3.95 each and the children £1.15. Not bad for a journey from Birmingham to London in under two hours. 

Here we are passing over the M42. 

Only five days to go :-). 

Nine days to go

It is now nine days to our wedding and although Alison seems to be fairly well prepared, I am lacking behind greatly in this department. 

Today we picked up my children as the wedding preparations really start to gather pace. 

Kenneth us going to be joint best man. 

Here is the outfit he would like to wear. 

Gracie is going to be one of the bridesmaids and is very excited. 

Unfortunately only the bride has clothing for the day so the next few days will be spent trying to purchase clothes that fit the rest of us ready for the big day. 

It's going to be hectic. 

Magpie II

This is our boat Magpie II as we bought her. 

As you can see we have done a lot of work, and spent a lot of money, on her to get her to the title photo. 

We are hoping to use this blog to relay our tales when afloat, but also from our everyday lives.
